My Parents
My parents are similar in some ways, but different in a lot of ways. We recently bought a french bulldog a while ago. My mom loves her, but my dad not so much. She has many problems with her nose so she snorts and can barely breathe. My dad likes to play videogames and watch tv. He is super lazy but all in all a hard working parent just like my mom. My parents are different in a way that my dad is always away in many different places for work, and my mom is off work every monday, thursday, and friday. I think my parents are very caring, loving, and fun to be around
SYDNEY CROSBY
As a great inspiration to all, Sidney Crosby was chosen to be part of the Canadian Olympic team for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and surprisingly the captain of the Canadian team. Crosby quotes, “Playing for Team Canada, playing in the Olympics is a great opportunity.” Sidney Crosby has had many achievements and has so much determination, and dedication to succeed.
It all started August 19,1987 when Sydney was born. Sydney was born in Cole Harbor, Nova scotia. Sydney’s dad was a pro hockey player that was drafted to the Montreal Canadians as a goaltender. Sydney is very special. He learned how to skate when he was just 3 years old!, by the age of seven he had developed all his skills and was much better than the other seven years olds on his team. A few years later when Crosby was ten years old he scored around 167 goals in just 55 games. In 2005 Crosby was drafted to the Pittsburgh penguins as the first overall pick. Crosby was recognized by everyone. He had a whopping 102 goals and won the NHL rookie of the year award.
Sidney Crosby has had many achievements over his NHL career and has been the top scorer often. Sydney won the Rocket Richard trophy. He has incredible on-ice vision and his passing ability to set up teammates for goals was really high. He also scores at least one point in 25 consecutive games. In 2007 he won the Art Ross and Hart trophy in just his second NHL season, this award. He was very hungry to prove Alexander Ovechkin that he was a better player, he scored 36 goals and had 84 assists for a total of 120 points. Also in 2010, he scored the game-winning goal in the gold medal game of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. And is now the captain of the Canada Team for the Sochi Olympics.
Overall Crosby is an all around great player in the NHL. I encourage everyone to watch Canada in the Olympics and also encourage you to look out for Crosby. He has represented Canada in numerous tournaments for the country’s junior and men’s teams. Sidney is unique because he shoots left handed, also because he is first overall for the most goals
Sydney has a lot of experience with hockey and is a great role model for everyone that follows hockey the sport. He is very dedicated and has determination to strive in whatever sport he is faced with. All spectators of the Winter Olympics should take note and look for him on the ice. Hopefully he scores a lot of goals and scores the winning goal again. Good luck and happy Sochi Winter Olympics.
